Calling all VW Enthusiasts and Restoration Dreamers!
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a 1969 Volkswagen Type 2 in need of a full restoration. It is an early Bay Window T2, denoted by the desirable small rear lights and low bumpers. The original colourway is Sahara Beige with a white roof, although nowadays it is more of an algal green hue with more than a hint of rust!
It has a 1600cc petrol engine with a single carburettor, although it is a non-runner. The vehicle has a Danbury camper conversion internally.
The van was bought by the current owners in circa 1973/ 4 and was used as a family campervan for many years, being taken to Europe most summers as well as exploring the UK extensively.
As can be seen from the pictures, the vehicle has been parked in its current location for almost 30 years and as such a full restoration would be required. A challenging but also rewarding project to bring this T2 back to its former glory!
The vehicle will need to be collected from its current location so the buyer would have to arrange suitable recovery.
