Description
Available for sale is my 1997 Pontiac Firebird Coupe. Manufactured in the ex-Ontario plant, originally sold in New York and later imported to the UK. I am the third owner.
Full spec of the car:
- 3800 Series II engine (3. 8L V6)
- Mystic Teal (Green/ Blue flip) paintwork
- Original factory-fitted 15" alloy wheels with excellent tread on all tyres
- 5 speed Borg Warner 'World Class' Manual transmission
- Grey leather interior
- Removable roof panels
Tons of work done in my ownership, including but not limited to the following:
- New ignition coils x3
- New engine and transmission mounts
- New clutch
- Rear main seal replaced
- Accessory belt replaced
- New spark plugs
- New HT leads
- New ignition control module
- New oil pressure switch
- New MAF sensor
- New headlamp motor gears
- New battery
- New battery lead heads
- New accessory belt
- Transmission fluid replaced
- Lower control arms replaced
- Fully undersealed chassis
All receipts and paperwork for this. There are multiple spare parts that will come with the car.
All glasswork is perfect. Seals are good.
Interior excellent and clean. Some light wear in the drivers seat bolster.
Bad points:
- There is a small rust patch on the lower rear quarter fender, passenger side, approx 5cm x 5cm. Not structurally critical.
- The paintwork has seen better days, as the lacquer is peeling on the flanks, and there is some deterioration in the nose one, but still cleans up pretty well. Scratches and marks are mainly on the hood. It's a rare colour, Mystic Teal (blue/ green flip paint from the factory)
- The dashtop is cracked. Cosmetic only. Adhesive covers can be bought to cover this, but it never bothered me.
- MOT is due in April
- Aircon needs a regas (it uses R134a I believe), though I rarely used it.
- Speedometer and Tachometer (rev counter) do not read true - this is a common problem with late-90s GM cars. I used a GPS speedo in any case. Doesn't affect driveability.
- Rust patch inside the engine bay wall, but not structurally critical
Viewing is available on request. I'd like it to go to a good home, it just isn't getting the use it deserves.
