In Candy Gold and now in its 53rd year this is a good example of Honda’s ground breaking motorcycle.
It was imported from the USA, and was registered on a UK age related “L” plate in 2021 with the V5 in my name. At that time the clocks showed 10, 121 miles and the importer carried out a professionally service which included, new battery, new tyres, a new rear chain, with the carburettors ultrasonic cleaned and re-built.
Since then it has been kept in a dry well ventilated garage under dust covers, and never been ridden in winter or the rain. The mileage now stands at 11, 881 so its only covered 1800 miles since its service in 2021. However I have recently had the spark plugs changed also the oil and oil filter.
The exhaust pipes ( HM341) are rust free and in excellent condition. The paintwork is in good condition. The photo’s show a seat that I had made to allow me to touch the ground easier, but I have kept its original which is included.
The photos of the frame and engine numbers shows its was manufactured in 1972. I would be happy for anyone to view it, and can help with arranging courier collection. If you are looking at buying a classic Honda you will know that this is a good price for a genuine example, so please don’t haggle.
If you require a video of the bike running please ask. My wife and I had an identical model back in the early 70’s, and have enjoyed reliving some old memories. We still enjoy riding it to local bike meets etc. and I still enjoy polishing it and occasionally taking it out in the sunshine. However I’m now approaching 80 and reluctantly have had to accept that I’m not as nimble as I was, This is a very well cared for classic Honda that will give pleasure to its next owner.
