Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 JTS Lusso Sportwagon (ULEZ Compliant)

For sale as now surplus to requirements our now very rare Alfa Romeo 156 Lusso Sportwagon fitted with the 2. 0 JTS petrol engine, combined with manual gearbox making for an excellent combination of performance and economy.

I bought this car as a stop gap for my wife to use last year while finding and getting ready a late, low mileage face lift 156 Veloce. It has served its purpose perfectly, transporting her and our kids reliably on short and long journeys without issue.

A high spec car when new, fitted with the following options:
Electric lumbar support on drivers seat.
Bose sound system.
Electric sunroof (tilt works, slide tries but doesn't. Probably just needs cleaning & greasing).
Roof rails.
Cruise control (fully functioning).
Xenon headlights.

The factory fit A/ C blows ice cold.

She comes with a huge A4 history file, all in date order and organised into sections. This includes every MOT since new. Original sales brochure and options book. The service stamp booklet & owners handbook.

Also on file are what appears to be every service/ maintenance invoice since new right up to date. Key recent work include:

January 2025:
Engine oil & filter.
New thermostat and fresh coolant.
New rear brake discs & pads.

November 2024:
New front Anti-roll bar drop links and polyurethane D-bushes.

April 2023:
Cam belt kit.
Water pump.
Balance belt kit.
Cam cover gasket.
Coolant.
Oil & filter.
2x top suspension arms.
Tracking.

Since the major cam belt service less than 2 years ago she has covered 15k miles, so plenty of miles & time left before the next belt service is required.

The underside is remarkably rust free, the only apparent welding being to the usual 156 area of the rear floor pan where the drain holes are. The excellent MOT history regarding corrosion will testify to this.

The current MOT runs until May 15th and all the advisories at the last MOT have been taken care off, the last owner even fitting expensive Avon tyres on the front.

I also recently carried out a professional 2-stage paint correction which has really made her gleam.

She's not perfect being a 22 year old family car that's had a life, but she is in remarkably good condition for her age. The few faults I am aware of are the screen for the info centre on top of the dash has pixelated, so cannot be read & the aforementioned sunroof only operating on tilt.

These 156's make a great, affordable entry into a daily driver family car that is a cut above the run of the mill Ford/ Vauxhall/ BMW etc.
