Description
A beautifully specified 987. 2 Porsche Cayman with the sought after 3. 4l Flat 6 DFI engine as also found in the 981 S (no IMS and an incredibly robust oiling system which also served the GT models of its era and beyond), generating 320PS with a very generous helping of mid range torque.
This example has covered just 62, 000miles from new and with full service history (detailed below), it is in excellent mechanical shape. The bodywork presents extremely well, although being honest there are some stone chips to the front bumper which are visible at close range. However, overall, the Meteor Grey metallic paint is in great condition for its age and in my view this colour is the best for any 987, keeping it looking right up to date.
First registered on 28th May 2009, the original owner did a brilliant job of specifying this ‘C16’ U. K. car from the factory:

454 Cruise control
490 Sound Package Plus
509 Fire Extinguisher

573 Automatic Climate Control
635 Park Assist System (Rear Sensors)
640 Sport Chrono Package Plus
666 Telephone Module for PCM
810 Floor Mats in Interior Color
844 3-Spoke PDK Multifunction Steering Wheel in Smooth Leather
870 Universal Audio Interface
P23 PCM 3. 0 including Extended Navigation
P77 Leather Sport Seats
Additional items:
XLF (OEM) Porsche Sports Exhaust (Valved) - Centre Console Switch
OEM 19” Turbo II wheels
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Functionality
Zunsport Grille Set (Black)
During my ownership (since November 2022) I have made the subtle additions of a ‘GT3’ brake master cylinder to improve the driving experience further, which provides a more sporting weight to the brake pedal without any detriment to drivability (the standard item makes for a somewhat mushy feel) as well as a Sport Design PDK (Paddle Shift) steering wheel which I’d rather remove and replace with the standard multifunction item before sale (hence, please don’t consider that as included in the advertised price).
Recent maintenance items include a new battery (original was still fitted until this winter but even with being plugged into a battery maintainer whilst garaged, it no longer had the legs to deliver good cranking amps), as well as new brake discs all round due to the usual corrosion starting to appear on the existing items.

Last MOT conducted on 29/ 05/ 2024 with an entirely clean pass first time, expiry 01/ 06/ 2025.
The car will be genuinely missed but will prove a faithful addition to the new owner’s collection, making a great weekend toy to cherish and enjoy for years to come, or equally as a reliable daily driver (although, I personally couldn’t bring myself to winter this example!).
Selling in order to fund my dream GT4 purchase.
