Restored and powder coated bumpers and trim
Full interior re trim, new wood , carpets and seats
Ivory Searle reconditioned engine fitted with:
Twin 1/ 2 SU carbs
Higher lift cam
Full stainless steel exhaust with tubular manifold
Reconditioned gear box with overdrive
Full front suspension rebuild with brakes.
GT6 wheels fitted for that lovely stance!
Since my ownership (11 years)
Reconditioned diff
New rear wheel bearings and brakes
Gas adjustable shocks all round
Full wax oil treatment ( inc engine bay and cavities)
Rolling road tune to ensure everything runs nicely.
Car has been serviced every year regardless of miles and has just had:
4 new tyres
Oil and filter
Gearbox oil
Brake fluid
Points, condenser, rotor arm and dizzy cap
New spark plugs
New radio
Car is in superb condition. NO RUST, NO FILLER
Drives beautifully and subtle modifications means it will keep up with modern traffic just fine and it can hold motor way speeds comfortably. It sounds great too.
The car has done c. 7000 miles since first parts of restoration.
Having been to many shows this is one of the best Spitfires out there and has won a few Brooklands events.
Engine bay is waxoyled but beneath is lovely paint should you wish to show it.
Car comes with waterproof bikini cover, tonneau cover and full waterproof and breathable cover and a box of spares including a spare tubular manifold
