Camper converted German fire service red Mk1 Ford Transit with only one owner since it landed in the UK with not even 16000 miles on the odometer.
Imported from Germany in 2008 with just 9000 miles on the clock as a fully functional Fire Service vehicle the fire equipment and lights were removed and it was treat to a new coat of paint along with the sign writing to represent the clients company, a full service including brakes all round, 6 tyres, new heads to run on unleaded fuel and with an incredible sound system installed the old love was predominantly used to tow and as a service support vehicle for historic Ford Rally cars till 2012 when the decision to make it into a camper was decided so it was lined, carpeted and a floor was installed along with additional seating that makes into beds with a kitchen including a Smev hob/ sink unit with a freshwater tank.
Due to an equally incredible revovery truck finding it's way into the stable to get the cars to stages and a partner not fond of "sleeping in a van" it's not had a great deal of use of the 9 years it was in use and in 2018 was put at the back of the Barn hence why it is now available to purchase.
The original 1700 petrol V4 is super quiet even with the full stainless steel exhaust system, runs beautifully and still trundles along nicely be it empty, loaded or pulling a trailer as you would expect a Transit to do just at more of a solumn pace than it's younger generation ones do it, Underneath is unreal condition and the paint on top still shines up lovely however is now showing a few blemishes which can be rectified along with the sign writing if needs be, but it's here in all it's honesty for you to view first, some of the trim edgings inside will be replaced by the time you're reading this along with giving the wheels a freshen up and an MOT for piece of mind.
