I have owned this car for nearly 22 years, and previously it was owned by BMW (South-West London and Thames Ditton) as their demonstrator car.
Original and unmodified condition. Bodywork has a few age-related marks (small scratches) but nothing major and a small area of bubbled paint on rear offside wheel arch. Alloy wheels are unrestored and reflect the originally of the car.
The car features: central locking, automatic air-conditioning, cruise control, electric windows, rear parking sensors, entertainment centre with AM/ FM radio, 6 CD auto changer in boot and TV screen (analogue not digital), sports mode, multifunctional leather steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, satellite navigation and electrically adjustable wing mirrors. ULEZ compliant.
MOT to 7th March 2026, (one minor defect and one advisory.)
New rocker cover and rocker cover gasket 20th February 2025. Full service conducted on 13th February 2025. New battery, 11th February 2025. All manuals, receipts, and previous MOTs (MOTs conducted by the same person for 20 years,) service book (see photographs.)
The car has been garaged for the past 22 years. Lovely car to drive with a taut responsive drive. Engine runs very sweetly, great sound from the M54 straight six.
A perfect option for a BMW enthusiast or someone looking to invest in a ‘future classic.’ I checked on the ‘How Many Left’ website and it suggested that as of 2Q 2024 there were only sixteen of this model remaining licenced in the UK. This car has been owned by the same person for nearly 22 years and the MOTs have been conducted by the same person since 2005.
Having now driven a more modern BMW, I find this car provides a smoother and more enjoyable ride and the feel through the steering wheel gives you a sense of precision and direct feedback as to how the car is handling.
