Description
Having been bought new by the Nottinghamshire Health Authority in 1965 this is the all original "Nurse Gladys Emanuel" car.
Large history file with many invoices going back many years.
By 1982 this car had only covered 19000 Miles, documented in the history along with old MOT certificates to verify mileage.
In 2017/ 18 the then owner carried out a meticulous but sympathetic restoration which included replacing or reconditioning everything mechanically on the car and also refreshing the interior with new carpets and rebolstering & covering the drivers seat. The front passenger seat does have a small "nic" in the vinyl, see picture.
All window rubbers were replaced. All Lucas electrical connectors were replaced, everything works as it should.
A new set of pistons were installed last year which cured a slightly smokey exhaust. The enginge has been serviced & starts first time every time in all weathers.
She has been Lanoguarded & Waxoyled throughout for underbody protection, see pictures.
She does have a few slight blemishes in her paint, the bottom of the boot has some very small bubbles, there is a very small dent in the near side front wing & she could do with a professional valet & a body polish to make here really look like an award winning car but on the whole for a 60 year old car she isnt bad at all.
She drives really well and more importantly , she stops really well too.
With no squeaks, rattles, bangs, whines or knocks she is a great example, with a full 12 month MOT just turn the key & enjoy! This is a great example of a much loved marque.
Everything has had attention in the last few years.
She behaves like new.
If you are looking for a great honest example that you can just get in, turn the key & enjoy, look no further.
