- Recent work to get it ready for sale including new belts, radiator, wheel arch linings and under trayCurrently residing with only its 4th enthusiastic owner and having covered just over 46, 250 miles, this BMW Z1 for sale at Retro Sect is a fine example that is now ready to go having had recent recommissioning to get it ready for its next custodian.
To ready it for sale, the car has just had a brand new radiator, thermostat and thermostat housing fitted, along with new front wheel arch liners and undertray fitted by a local BMW specialist, Classic Bahstormers. A full service was completed earlier this year by Cotswold Presige Cars including new timing, power steering and alternator pump belt.
The car is overall in very presentable condition, with rich red paintwork, tidy original alloy wheels and everything working exactly as it should - including the wonderful electronic doors, folding roof mechanism and locks which hold the clean cloth roof firmly in position.
Its interior has worn somewhat as most used Z1s have, which apparently is exactly as the designer originally intended, but it's still a comfortable and functional place to be in, enhanced further once the doors are down on some twisty B-roads.
The original owners handbook is present with service manual and some other literature including historic tax discs. MOTs are present from most of the car's life, back until 1992 (its first test on the original registration of F998 KGF), along with some Northern Ireland test certificates from its owner in the early 2000s. A number of invoices and other documents are also in the file.
The fantastic piece of German engineering holds a current MOT until April 2025 and is ready to go. If you'd like to know more don't hesitate to get in touch or arrange a viewing.
