Description
In 1951, Lancia presented a new luxury GT coupe in the Aurelia family. Ghia designed and Pininfarina manufactured the new coupé model. The Aurelia GT had a 2. 0 liter V6 engine in aluminum and a gearbox with four gears in the rear axle. In 1953, the engine was developed to 2. 5 litres. Aurelia B20 GT was built in six series until 1958. Our car is a series IV. A total of 3, 871 cars were built, which over time have become desireable collectors items.
Our car is an Aurelia B20 GT 2. 5 series IV from 1955 with a 2457 cc engine with 111 hp. The car is right hand drive, as most Aurelias were, has steering wheel gear, textile upholstery and is painted in dark blue metallic paint.
History
The car was bought at Garage Debruil in G. Quevilly in France on 04/ 07/ 1965 by a Swedish sailor from Katrineholm. Transport was by boat to Narvik and then by train via Luleå to Katrineholm. Registration was made 02/ 09/ 1966 in Katrineholm.
The other Swedish owner bought the car in 19xx and renovated the engine with a change of camshaft.
The third owner lived in Västerås and bought the car around 1980.
The fourth owner from Hallstahammar bought the car in 1985. He renovated it with new paintwork and new upholstery to the fine condition it has today. New registration was made on 25/ 04/ 1986.
In 1987 the car was sold to the current owner.
In 1990 the engine was rebuilt with a new lining, new bearings and gaskets. The latest and thus the last inspection was done on 13/ 05/ 2016. In 2020, the clutch was replaced.
The odometer reading of 97760 km is considered to be the car's actual mileage.
