I want to sell my Rover 825 Sterling. This car is in very good condition with only tiny rust patches on the for when arch and around the boot keyhole. At the MOT in December 2024 two advisories were recorded referring to non essential work to make good the inner cills. (Please see the MOT on the Gov UK site for this detail). The car is a stunner and turns heads everywhere. The interior is in immaculate white leather with black piping. The original carpets are in good condition. The original Rover radio/ cassette is fitted with a 6CD player in the boot. The electric windows (and bleeps) and sun roof are good with no leaks. The dashboard and instrumental panel is in good order and the heating and air conditioning work perfectly. This Rover 825 Sterling was first registered on 3rd December 1997 and was issued with VRM - R302BRW - this number will be returned to the car when it is sold. The car has the Rover V6 engine rather than the Honda Unit fitted to earlier cars. Apart from the bespoke stainless steel exhaust fitted in 2024 it is all original with just shy of 70k on the odometer since it came off the production line.
The car was owned by the Rover Company and used by managers at the firm’s Longbridge site until 2000 when it was transferred to the car pool. There it was in regular use and maintained in-house. The car has the company log book detailing drivers, destinations, mileage and services until 2005.
The car was then passed into private ownership and has spent time in Worcestershire, Scotland and the North East of England until I purchased it from a Lancashire specialist classic car dealer in October 2022.
I have owned several Rovers over the last few years, including two Rover 600s and two Rover 75s one of which is my daily drive. I have aspired to own a P4 but have never achieved that ambition. However I have admired the 800 series for years and when I saw this vehicle I bought it. Since then I have used the vehicle sparingly, covering just over 4000 miles in two and a half years. I regret that I do not have garage accommodation and do not want it to spend much more time in the open - my hope is that it will find an new owner who will be able to care for this car as it deserves.
