Description
Listed for sale is my 1971 Land Rover Series 3 109 Hardtop
Wiith galvanised chassis (fitted by one of the previous owners) and canvas hood (new last summer).
It runs and drives nicely i used it a lot last summer, had a new "undercover covers" canvas, fitted last year with the galvanised hoodsticks.
As well as new shocks, full service (engine, gearbox, transfer box, diffs etc), and steam cleaned and applied lanoguard treatment underneath.
I believe they are parabolic leaf springs as the ride is good and not harsh.
New battery, coil, spark plugs, bumper, door tops (one new still in its box) and other various bits and pieces.
The breaks are good as they have a servo, and the headlights work well as one of the previous owners has fitted relays improving their performance.
I drove it daily last summer on my 20 mile commute to work for a few weeks while i was changing my daily driver and it was a lot of fun.
The front radiator panel is from a series 2a (with covers over the headlight holes) this panel is in good condition and the bonnet looks pretty new as well.
Its clearly had a fair amount of money spent on it over the years.
It has been a really enjoyable ownership experience and is genuinely the best i have driven.
has Spanish weber carb.
