Old English White full red interior
Very light project
This lovely convertible was owned by the previous owner for over 20 years and was restored by him in 2010.
Since then the car was used regularly but recently has been off the road and dry stored.
The bodywork still shines though, has some wear and tear to the paint, but is structurally solid and has straight panels.
Amazingly, there is service history from 1973, car is a '71 so thats its first service, with a breakdown of the work carried out,
followed by regular history after that in the 1970s and 1980s. After that period there is an abundance of paperwork throughout
the 90s and includes the original Triumph handbook.
The electrics are working, indicators lights, wipers etc and the interior has recovered seats in the correct trim which from Rimmer bros together cost £1000. There is a very nice red carpet set to compliment and the dashboard is in exceptional condition.
The Herald turns over but won't quite fire, terrible damp weather though. I imagine new plugs, leads and points carb service would solve that quite easily so I am selling this as a light project due to lack of time to tinker and have new stock coming,
with limited space!
The brakes aren't seized, it rolls easily and the clutch has good action. The radiator looks good too, recommend new fuel lines maybe. Has had a few mot patches in the past but solid underneath.
This car can easily be on the road with a coupled of weekends tinkering and is a very light project. The car is in a striking colour combination and will be great for local shows in the summer.
Service history from the early 1970s, handbook and V5. Mot and road tax exempt.
Cheap classic car insurance too.
Viewing welcome any day by appointment.
Can assist with delivery/ loading etc.
