Description
Due to my work requiring me to travel out of country more and more I've decided to part ways with my lovely GS.
The G Special is the base GS model. This is a late example from the changeover period to GSA and was new in 1980. It's in great condition, solid underneath, drives superbly, and has been living in a dry, heated garage for all the time I've owned it.
The following have been done in the last year or two
New battery
3 new tyres
5 new spheres
'O' ring in pressure regulator
2 suspension cylinder seals
1 suspension pushrod
3 suspension gaiters (one spare supplied)
The ride is perfect, gliding over potholes with ease.
Fuel filler pipes
Fuel tank sender unit
Fluid Film into sills
LHM
We've also found the correct jack
& Spare wheel
The driver's seat squab re-stuffed,
we'll supply haynes and Autodata manuals, Clutch was apparently replaced not long ago and we've
duplicate keys.
The V5 is in my name.
Things to do (or not!)
Exhaust leak (it's been patched acceptably)
Minor oil leak (rocker cover?)
Replace driveshaft (OK for now) or driveshaft gaiter.
Re-stuff other seats (2cv rubber rings (some supplied) and canvas bases fit)
Tidy up bodyworkVery much a real Citroen, I've used it periodically including some longer journeys where it behaved perfectly.
