Totally Unique Rothmans RC30. Australian delivered. This is without doubt one of the rarest RC 30 on the planet. This machine is brand new/ unstarted and 1 of only 8 road going Genuine Rothmans approved machines in the world. There is a very unique story behind these particular machines. In the late eighties a radio competition was to be run in Australia where you could win one of these totally unique Rothmans Liveried machines. Although not painted in the factory 8 machines were delivered to Australia for the competition. It was approved and the paint scheme partially funded by Honda Japan. Due to new laws at the time Regarding tobacco advertising . Through my own personal research it has been confirmed to me that some of the bikes supplied at the time where all white machines. This bike carries the colour code under the seat of NH196 Ross White. The competition was shelved and the machines sold off. This machine along with one other was sold to a private collector and remained with him for approximately the next 30 years. The bike spent time on Display at Phillip Island GP circuit and still retains the museum tag on its handlebars from that era. Although never started the engine has been turned over periodically. The machine would require some recommissioning if one wished to run the machine however it presents in amazing condition. There is several tiny spider cracks on the rear seat cowl and one small chip on LH mirror stay. The odometer currently reads 5 kms simply from pushing around. Out of the original 8 machines delivered to the best of my knowledge only 3 of these particular machines remain and mine is the only brand new unstarted machine. Simply put 1 of 1 in the world!
