Description
Here's a chance to own a unique 1998 Mark 1 Triumph Thunderbird Sport with a 4 cylinder 998cc short stroke motor fitted. Loosing my storage space so it needs to go.
It's not getting used as much as it deserves, it's a brilliant bike to ride and sounds wonderfull, so it's time for a new owner. Mileage may increase slighty as i am trying to ride it.
Has a full airbox system on it as i find they run better than if fitted with K&N's etc.
Stainless custom downpipes and connecting pipes to Triumph silencers, which are TOR's for the extra character sound.
Modified Honda CBF1000 3 pot front calipers.
Monza style fuel tap.
Rare Thunderbird sport fly screen, genuine Triumph solo seat and chrome chain guard.
Private number plate, valued at £400 included.
Recent Avon Storm tyres along with chain and sprockets and plugs. Oil, filter and fluids done last year.
Paintwork on the tank has a couple of scratches but the rest is good.
Mot'd until April 2025. I will put 12 months mot on it for a new owner but it's ready to ride.
All the other Thunderbirds i have seen that have had engine swops are 1200cc and on normal Thunderbirds, this is probably the only Thunderbird Sport thats been done.
On the front of the logbook there is a special note.......... This vehilce has been salvaged because the estimated cost of commercial repair was more than the value of the vehicle. This was in 2006/ 7, i think as that's when the clocks were changed see mot history on
