Description
Bike purchased in 2017, restored in 2018 by a well known Triumph restorer in Shepton Mallet. Bike last used in 1984, then dry stored.
Work included engine and gearbox rebuild, wiring loom, shocks F and R, 2 new Amal Monobloc carbs, tank and clocks restored, etc etc, many new parts (about £5K's worth in fact!) I have all the receipts from Tri Supply in Devon.
I have all the photos and narrative of the restoration.
Runs very well, starts 1st or 2nd kick, hot or cold.
It is still in it's original colour, Alaska White, with gold and black coach lines on the mudguards. All stock, except the front brake was upgraded to a 7 inch twin leading shoe unit and a 12 volt conversion. This colour was only available in 1963/ 4. The bike was originally bought in Merediths, the Triumph dealer in Bristol.
It was Mot'd on 8th February 2025 with no advisories. Reg no 53 VHY, matching frame and engine number T120DU1761.
Comes with history file, Haynes manual, and original Triumph Workshop Manual from 1964.
The bike is available to view in Wrington, N Somerset. Delivery can be arranged.
