Description
For sale is an Austin 1100 Van, it has been under current ownership for the last 5 years, and used to promote a caravan park. It was driven daily a few miles to the town centre, parked for the day, and then driven back in the evening throughout the summer months. A change in business circumstances has resulted in the van now being surplus to requirements. It has always been dry stored when not in use, and kept in useable, running order. Before his ownership, it was part of a private collection of classic vehicles.
It’s always been a good starter, engine is healthy, and has no oil leaks. All gears work, engage and disengage as they should. As far as we’re aware, it is the original, matching numbers, engine and gearbox. Brakes and electrical system all work as intended, and is fit to use on public roads. It has recently had a new clutch fitted, and the carburettor has had new jets installed, and thoroughly cleaned out in the process. The van is in unrestored condition, but very tidy and well kept for its age, making it a good useable classic. Body work is all solid, and what you’d expect from a car of this age. There a couple of minor paintwork issues here and there once you start looking closely, but not too noticeable. It has been repainted at some point in its life, but this was before the current owners ownership. The vinyl sticker on sides of the van can be easily removed with no detriment to the paintwork underneath.
The van has covered a total of 72, 903 miles. It is also registered as a historic vehicle, making it tax and MOT exempt. It also comes with some history.
Viewings welcome, and open to reasonable offers.
