Description
Rover V8 3. 9 engine with 3 speed auto gearbox. First registered in 1972 and has had 4 previous owners. I have owned the car for 4 and a half years and have serviced and taken it though a MOT every year. Current MOT until September 25. Bought privately in 2020, the previous owner bought it in 2016 after a complete rebuild in that year, when it had a bare metal repaint and the Rover engine and gear box installed. I have extensive folder containing photos of the rebuild plus all maintenance completed thereafter. During its time it has been subject to a constant improvement and upgrading to include the Rover V8 with a four barrel Edelbrock 500cfm carburettor and Offenhauser JWR dual port inlet manifold. Other modifications include a BMW 3. 46:1 diff conversion, 14 inch Kenlowe fan and full leather interior in black with a black carpet set and mini lite wheels. It has an unmarked matching hard top.
During my ownership I have:
Replaced the clock with an oil pressure gauge (I still have the clock); replaced the sender unit, water pump and front shocks. I have also renewed the soft top (the old one
was looking a bit tired) and refurbed the boot lid. I have also added a Bluetooth radio and CD player. Mechanically, the car is exceptional. The engine starts from cold, does not overheat and has a distinctive sound. Underneath I have had the engine and gearbox checked and it is all dry. The car has been garage stored by myself and the previous owner. All tyres are in good condition.
