Original 1600cc engine / Twin Carbs / gearbox.
I am selling my lovely old 1973 VW type 3 Variant after my family is owning the vehicle since 2014. I imported the car from Brazil in 2023. It belonged to my father. Its a 1973 model 1600A with twin Solex carbs and freeway long ratio gearbox.
The car was originally entirely refurbished in 2016 and engine rebuilt in 2020. The floorpans have been cleaned inside and treated/ painted before new carpets, seat covers, and door panels were fitted. I have 40+ pictures for the refurbishment done.
There are some small job to be done due to some rust as seem in details on the pictures.
The car has all its original panels & paint which are in very good shape.
The car drives and handles brilliantly. I rarely get time to use it now and it only comes out when the sun is shining. It was last serviced in September 2024 by a local mechanic in Milton keynes.
I have bills for the items I have added, including all the works undertaken on the car done in UK. I have the importation & shipping paperwork, Brazilian bills and paperwork relating to previous owners ( it was in my mother's name due my father passed away in 2023 ). Along with this are the original manual.
Type 3’s are becoming rare nowadays and this is one of the most original non molested cars you can find. I am happy to supply additional photos & information if needed.
