Description
NSL 568 is a 1960 Rover P4 model 100, 2. 6L straight six , this car was
originally grey over blue, although the build card found when removing
the headlining 4yrs ago said it was to be have been green. A painting
mistake possibly or a colour change somewhere along the line who
knows? Either is possible although no green paint was found on the
car.
Over the last 6 years this car has had major restoration works, or even
possibly due to subtle changes made by the owner it could be called a
resto-mod.
Although the chassis and floor were sound, the rest of the body was
poor to say the least, under what appeared a reasonable layer of paint.
Almost every panel on the car has had work of some description
needing hours of fabrication. The colour has been changed to Jaguar
sapphire blue and Jaguar steel grey. The interior has been fully
retrimmed in leather effect vinyl. The dash has been swapped out for
an early wooden dash and screen surround colour coded to match the
car Most chrome has been refinished or new purchased.
The suspension and braking system has been
replaced/ upgraded including all steering components. The front
suspension Has been lowered using custom made springs leaving a smaller gap to the wing from the
top of the tyre than standard
NSL has had a full rewire with new lights all round including LED
headlight conversion to LED 7" type sympathetic to the age of the car.
The engine remains original, in a
used not polished condition
The car drives well as is a big head turner
