Owned this lovely motor for around 2 years - was bought initially as a car to take me and the lads on a 1, 000mile camp trip. Ended up liking it so much I kept hold.
Car has as you can imagine been brilliant, super reliable - never let me down. I have a Tesla (boooo) so whenever I go further than 200 miles I take this. Fuel economy boasting 60mpg and 700+ miles to a full tank. I've been all over Scotland, Wales and Cornwall in it.
In my ownership haven't done/ needed to do too much; Just had brand new tyres over Xantia alloy wheels, lowering springs on the front/ adjusted torsion bar on rear - sits nice (tastefully low), oil and filter every 4k miles, new starter motor, throttle cable - that's it. All major welding etc. has been done previously - car is 99% rust free.
Bad Points (Honesty is the best policy)
* Laquerpeel on the roof area (pictured) - paint for the most part is lovely
* Dings here and there, one more noticeable on the front wing (pictured)
* Sunroof doesn't open, think the cog is worn (doesn't leak)
* One of the rear windows doesn't wind down - probably just needs a new mechanism
* Previous owner has told me he did the cambelt done in his ownership but no proof/ receipt. Belt is visible and looks fine, I do believe it's been done.
I honestly can't see another for sale nor seen one for sale since in as nice condition as this one. I'm a detailer on the side and have fully mopped the paint/ restored all trims.
I'm looking ideally for £1, 995ovno - no desperate rush to sell so no low-balls pls.
Based in Leicestershire - viewing by appt welcomed.
Alex. Perfect for Baguette car lovers and even an ideal first classic to take to shows. Bargain insurance on that 64hp (when new) motor.
