Description
For sale.
It is with a heavy heart we are selling our 1972 Mini Clubman Estate.
As you can see from the photos this car wears most of its original paint with pride. This car is what you could say is a survivor or patina car. Every panel tells as story and we love it for that, like the blue paint on the bonnet was from when kids vandalised it by throwing paint over the car with last long term owner.
During our 7 year ownership we have left the body but kept the car going and on the road.
Inside the car it has a period correct Rokee style dash board fitted by the previous owner. It looks charming and correct even down to the map light. The rest is presentable but original.
The engine is all original and the earlier 998cc, the car is numbers matching, it is running a slightly larger Carb right now as we found it was better for the longer runs but the original one comes with the car.
Cooper Reverse Steel wheels come with the car.
Stuff that is needed to be done, is some rear door and side window sills to be changed, and fuel gauge doesn't work.
So to sum this up this is a slice of British Leyland history which attracts far more attention at car shows and out and about than any other car I have owned, people love this car for its story and charm.
This is hard sale for us we don't want to part with the car but space and time and saving for a new home has to come before this unfortunately. That teamed with fact we really haven't used it enough in the last few years which is a real shame.
If your interested please get in touch and ask more questions and maybe even come and see the car.
Please don't waste our time we are all busy people and this isn't a easy sale, I will regret it the minute it leaves us. But its time for a new home.
Thanks for looking.
