I acquired this motorcycle on the 20/ 03/ 2013, it was in a very poor condition, I stripped it down and restored it. The wheels were rebuilt with SS rims and spokes, bearings replaced. The paintwork has been professionally resprayed and the tank sealed with PIR15. Forks stripped and rebuilt, seat recovered, top end engine rebuild comprising of new cam chain and cam chain tensioner, rebored and fitted with NOS pistons and rings, exhaust valves replaced, carb rebuild kits fitted including diaphragms. All mechanical items checked and replaced where necessary, many items re-chromed. Exhausts and silencers are original and are currently painted black, the down pipes could be re-chromed the silencers not, I do have a pair of chrome megaphones that will bolt straight on. I also have a set of tank decals ( I prefer it without ) the front mud guard is not the correct one for this machine. I have recently fitted a pair of Avon Road Riders and a new battery. The bike has not been restored to original spec but could easily be returned to original condition if required, It is in very good condition and has never been ridden in the rain or wet conditions. There is a slight problem selecting neutral from 1st gear, a problem common to these bikes. I restored this bike not as a show bike but something reliable that I could ride and enjoy. As with all bikes of this vintage they do need nursing along but in the 12 years that I have owned it, it has never let me down (it is a Honda after all) I have covered 5, 882 miles in the time I have owned it, Unfortunately I am unable verify the actual mileage. I had one when I was 17 years old and I loved it and I have enjoyed this one just as much. It is also MOT and TAX exempt which is a bonus.
