MORRIS MINOR 1000 TRAVELLER 1970. Trafalgar Blue. The second owner purchased this car in the 1970s and he and his daughter have owned it ever since. She learned to drive in it in the 1970s and has just recently stopped driving it as retirement means she has no need of a second car now. It has always been looked after and well maintained and received a restoration by Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre in the past which included a complete rebuild of the underside, complete new timber frame, new front and rear wings and a full respray. No further bodywork has been required and the car is in good sound condition including the timber frame which was oil treated when new and has been recoated each year. This has maintained the structure well but does give a rather dull, dark finish.
The Morris drives very well with a lively 1098cc engine and good, quiet gearbox and differential. All oils have been changed recently and a full service undertaken. A new water pump has been fitted and the brakes overhauled which included fitting a new brake master cylinder and front and rear wheel cylinders. This car does not require an MOT test by law but has been submitted for one for peace of mind. That is current until February 2026 and has no advisories. It is also tax exempt of course. The car has covered less than 100, 000 miles in total.
We feel it is competitively priced compared with other Minor Travellers on the market and welcome enquiries. The Morris is all ready for a new owner to care for it and use it as it should be used.
