Lotus Elan SE Sports Car
1969
This nice looking car has been with its previous owner for forty four years and has only had three owners in all from new.
This is a genuine Type 45 drop head Elan SE
The car has been in storage sometime and now requires some recommissioning and restoration.
Mechanically. The engine runs well but brakes, electrics etc will all need checking due to the time the car has been off the road. Stainless steel exhaust.
Bodywork is nice and straight and appears to have no damage to the fibreglass. The paintwork is poor and has chips and cracks plus the previous owner has touched up bits and pieces. It still retains its scarce sill chromes.
Interior is in good condition, the dashboard has been replaced and is in excellent condition. Appears to have had carpets recently installed. The side of the drivers seat has some wear but generally the interior is in good shape.
The soft top roof is in good condition but with age the windows have yellowed.
The car comes with a large history file.
A very original car, with some restoration will make a really nice example.

We are mainly interested in British sports and saloon cars from the 1960s and 1970s, but can appreciate a good car from any era and often have a diverse range of stock.
Over the years we have enjoyed restoring cars which has given us a solid background and embedded us in a network of enthusiasts. In the last few years our direction has changed slightly towards hunting out classics, from barn finds to turn key beauties.
