2001 Alfa Romeo Spider

Alfa Romeo Spider 20TS LUSSO . Solid cared for original classic.
2 previous owners with full service history . It’s a keeper , solid body with all original parts in top condition. Body panels are rust free , doors are clean and rust free inside and out . Boot agin clean and rust free. The paint is perhaps the worst part , this is down to wear and tear over the years and me using a car cover that has caused scratches in places . The interior is excellent , tan leather Momo seats , drivers has a few scuffs . Passenger seat looks like it not been sat in. Tan carpet is super clean and no tears . I purchased this for my wife as she missed the GTV she had in 1999. She has since decided that she would like to keep her Saab 93 Con that she replaced the GTV with for now but would like the V6 . When you look. into these cars they do scream quality with stunning looks and a superb sound . Part hand built by Pinnfirina , there’s nothing around these days with that sort of heritage .( we did consider removing the interior for when a V6 does appear ) The Spider draws a lot of attention . Since we bought it I have done a lot of work so my wife can enjoy it . When I have driven it reminds me how good these little cars are . The GTV was glued to the road which made driving so much fun . The Spider is exactly the same brilliant free revving engine coupled with great chassis and independent suspension. I have replaced rear dampers and fitted powerflex bushes to the inner part of the arm , the others are fine . Starting at the top , the roof is blue , water tight and tear free. The rear screen is now faded but is the original with Alfa logo in the bottom right corner . I have replaced the roof hydraulic oil and greased the joints and lineage's. It goes up and down without issues. All rubbers are in good condition and intact . Original car radio with electric aerial working , sadly cd is defunked. All lights working , headlight and fog had a new bulb . Boot electronic release centeral locking work fine . The door check straps , bonnet and boot struts function as they should . There are 4 keys with the important brown one , 1 service and 2 drivers keys . The exhaust has had most items replaced previous owner and me have seen to that . I have changed the oil in the gearbox and engine , oil filter . The timing belt was dome less than 1 year ago . New thermostat with fresh coolant . My observation is that the radiator looks like it might have been replaced ( I did not find a bill for this , so just a guess) The wheels are great apart from 1 which does dave a scratch and been curbed . I feel that I have said what is important and revelent and will update if I have missed any details . Mot was dome Sept 24 . As I said already, these are a great car and like alll good things become more desirable. They are under valued compared to the V6 for now . I can remember when you could buy a Lancia Integrale Evo for less that 10K These little cars are such great value and will follow the V6 as investments
