a lovely cared for and reliable example of a cute and very practical little classic car which is always admired on the road and by passers by.

the wolseley 1500 is a compact, luxury saloon car produced by the british motor corporation (bmc) from 1957 to 1965, essentially a more luxurious version of the morris minor, featuring a larger 1489cc engine, leather seats, and a walnut veneer finish, while still utilising the morris minor chassis and underpinnings for good handling; It was considered a "small luxury car" with a focus on refinement and comfort over outright speed.

the wolseley 1500 was tested by the british magazine "the motor" in 1957. it was found to have a top speed of 76. 7mph (123. 4km/ h) in 24. 8 seconds. A fuel consumption of 36. 6 miles per imperial gallon was also recorded.

the wolesley offered here was first registered with dvla on 11 august 1960 . the car underwent an extensive restoration some years past and remains very impressive in all respects today. The gleaming cream over baby blue paint work continues to prevent very well indeed. there are no dents, scratches, scuffs or blemishes to be found and no evidence of rust/ rot. The chrome work is also. Very good and the 1500 remains wind and watertight. The original steel wheels and wheel caps sit on matching tyres with plenty tread. since the said restoration, the car has covered little miles and only used in dry warm conditions. The wolesley is part of a collection of classics kept and maintained in a heated & fully enclosed water tight environment.

as stated this stunning little wolseley is in super all round original condition. The little saloon which sits 4 in comfort and has 4 seat belts, drives and stops great, and so much fun, turning heads wherever it travels and no wonder given the few examples examples out there and the car having retained it's beautiful appearance/ condition.

all body panels are straight and true. There are no dents etc. The gleaming paintwork is in excellent order providing a deep shine. There are no scratches, scuffs or marks. The chrome work is of very good order. In essence, this is a truly lovely example of the classic wolesley 1500.

the interior is also in good order, original, clean and uncluttered. There are no tears, unsightly scuffs or marks, signs of heavy wear or discoloration. All is in tact, functioning as intended, comfortable and pleasant to the eye.

the chassis and undercarriage is clean and solid in all areas, as are the floor pans etc. There is no evidence of rot/ rust anywhere backed up by the car holding a good mot history as recorded by vosa.

the boot - again very clean, solid and un-cluttered.

engine bay - as per the boot.

engine - the engine is reliable, quiet, agile and responsive, starting the first time of asking every time. It sounds sweet through the gearbox and exhaust system.

transmission - the 4 speed manual gear box is like the engine, agile, responsive and smooth to the change.

all in all, this is a fantastic little (by todays standards) wolseley which is much admired and so much fun to drive. Always brings an instant and enduring smile of pride and satisfaction. It also represents a piece of british motoring history aligned to a sound classic car investment.

the wolesley being a 65 year old historic classic vehicle is mot, ulez, congestion and tax exempt.

the little gem was registered in the uk on 11 august 1960 and has had few keepers in its 65 year history. The car is part of a private collection and only used sparingly in dry/ warm weather conditions. The wolesley as it presents today, is a credit to it's keepers and the marque. It is also a clear investment opportunity aligned to in-expensive classic car ownership, enjoyment with natural pride of ownership and as stated a piece of british motoring history.
