2004 Mini Hatchback R53 Cooper "S" John Cooper Works

For Sale is my Mini R53 Cooper "S" JCW Works. A genuine "JCW" car first registered 21/ 10/ 2004 and has 5 former keepers over the last 21 years. Current MOT until June and V5 in my name.

The car is in superb order and in a great colour combination of Blue with White chequer roof, mirrors and door handles.

The engine is in great order and has just has a full service with new plugs and leads, rocker cover gasket (as these leak, mentioned at last MOT and rectified) all filters were changed and the car drives and pulls as you would expect from the supercharged 1. 6.

I bought the car in May last year and it had been sat for a while, the seller and the owner previous to that are both known to me and I knew the car needed bringing back up to a standard.

The bonnet was resprayed last year as the previous owner had made a somewhat ham fisted attempt to remove the stripes and left marks in the paint. All four spotlights are brand new and although I haven't wired them up yet the original wiring is present under the bonnet so a simple enough job to do.

The car has had a full Valet in September 2004 and the interior shows as if it were a new car. I have replaced the original radio with a Blaupunkt DAB radio with Bluetooth, The original radio comes with the car and is an easy swap if you would like it back to original.

The current MOT is until 18/ 6/ 2025. The car is garaged and used occasionally but now advertised it will remain off the road until sold.

The door mirror caps are original BMW but the door handle covers are not OEM and in an ideal world could do with being replaced if you want it perfect. The Chequer stickers on the roof have some small parts missing but nothing that detracts from the genuine originality of the car.

The car drives fantastically, is very fast even by todays standards and this car is not modified in any way. Despite its mileage it presents incredibly well and gets comments wherever we go.

A full book pack is present with the car along with a host of invoices for servicing and repairs over the years, this car has been on a couple of different private plates over the years and has clearly been well cared for.

This is a great opportunity to get in to a car that will only grow in value and there is the opportunity to take this car to concours if desired.

I love this car and if it doesn't sell I genuinely wont mind too much but I need to fund a full respray of another project car. It is so much fun to drive, a true road legal go kart.
