1989 Porsche 944 S2

This car has been my pride and joy for almost 10 years and has been lovingly cherished

I purchased from an independent Porsche specialist in 2016 where it subject to a comprehensive overhaul and inspection. It has a full service history being a mix of Porsche main dealer and numerous specialists

It is in fantastic condition and is completely original

Mechanically its spot on and has had thousands spent on routine maintenance, new parts and TLC. It has one of the most comprehensive service records as well as stacks of receipts comfortably totalling tens of thousands:

Interior:
This is complete and still has the period Blaupunkt stereo! The cream (or colour Linen to the Porsche officionado) is in fantastic condition. And contrasts fantastically with the black coach work

I take the time to ensure it’s well cared for with leather conditioner and there are no rips, or wear - even on the drivers bolster. That said I like originality and an 'honest' look so have avoided and recolouring the leather

Bodywork:
All panels have a great shine which I have tried to picture in the photos, there are no dents scratches or anything to really to note regarding in terms of the body. The windscreen does have a stone chip which never given a major cause for concern. I keep the body waxed and polished always.. The wheels have been fully refurbished using a full immersive system (not someone spray painting the face in van) and they really shine!

It also has Pirelli’s all round too which are like new having covered very little miles

I had the sills tended to by a local restorer, both sides are fully waxoyled so no issues there. She never sees any rain or wet roads anyway! There is of course the off stone chip and chip on the right wing but I am being picky here

Electric Hood:
This is in lovely condition and still works on the button every time. The canvas has been replaced at some point and it was a fantastic job and the rear screen is totally see through
I have also included the tonneau cover which i rarely use (worth £400+)

General:
The car is 30 years old and is not mint, it’s had the works done where needed and represents - in my opinion great value, giving you the legendary 944 handling but with the wind in your hair experience but like all old classics there are always things that need doing and little quirks which only add to the fun.

Testament to its originality it comes with the original tool roll, original spare wheel and jack, first aid kit and original book pack and purchase documentation - even the security window stickers and engine stickers are all present and correct for the period..

There has been far too much spent to list and work done to list.

Its is always garaged and covered and never used in anything on than perfect weather.

I really do very few miles in the car and feel the time is right to sell and focus on some other projects. I have studied the market and feel the price represents a very fair valuation but am always willing to negotiate on price

All main mechanical areas have been attended to, this includes the front shock absorbers, cam belt rollers etc which cost a small fortune! I had a specialist undertake a comprehensive engine rebuild in 2020 where many parts were refurbished or either replaced - there is far to much to list but I will be happy to supply more photos and discuss the woks done in more detail
