1979 Suzuki SJ10 550cc two stroke ( LJ50 engine ) imported in Covid direct from Japan , I have spent over 12k with buying vehicle then restoring it to a high standard . Was stuck afew weeks ago and had to use it in the snow and was amazing . Under side of vehicle is like new and came from Japan like it . As can be seen it’s in superb condition and hard to believe it’s nearly 45 years old . Pretty sure the kms ( miles ) are correct 99k kms which is 60k miles , it came here on 97k . Will try and list some of the things which have been done . All seats have been reupholstered in high quality black leather , I had them to install electric heater pads inside the base and backs but I’ve never bothered wiring them up , but it’s a nice extra if new owner wants too . Doors panels were also covered . All lamps & headlamps have been upgraded to LED sealed lamps . Engine was removed and fully overhauled , rebored at south wales pistons and 1mm over size newSuzuki pistons were fitted . All seals , gaskets , water pump and every pipe also replaced , upgraded electronic distributor which has no contact points . Body work is very good , was resprayed inside and out with Suzuki 2k emerald green and has the odd little mark but nothing noticeable . Rear glass was professionally tinted . Steering was upgraded with an SJ30 steering box . Wheels were professionally widened from 4. 5 inch to 6 inch then powder coated , 5 brand new tires then fitted which still have the nobbily bits . She drives lovely and a lot of fun , but she is mainly for the back roads as they have low gearing , will go along at 55mph nice enough on dual carriage ways but I not think they were designed for that . As said tax and mot exempt and fully comp insurance is £85 a year :-) . I think it’s the only 2 stroke one in the country . I’m really not bothered if I sell it as know I will regret ! Open to offer also may take a cheaper px . If we sorted a deal then could deliver any where in the uk for cost .
