MGB GT
Finished in russet brown with refurbished complimenting Webasto style sliding sunroof. Original orange ‘deck-chair’ interior. Original 80. 5k mile car. Starts and runs well with no smoke and good oil pressure. 2 sets of keys.
Dry stored. MOT and tax exempt.
Exterior:
All original Rostyle wheels professionally refurbished - restoration includes spare wheel. Plenty of tread on the tyres.
New brakes – front and rear including master cylinder. New headlamp lenses. New fuel tank.
Recent new plugs and leads, distributor service and engine & transmission oil changes.
The underside and lower sills are structurally sound. The outer sills are sound but probably deserve some cosmetic attention in the next few years. There is some small corrosion on the front side of the passenger door and underside of the driver’s door.
Engine Bay, Transmission & Mechanicals:
Engine bay is clean and tidy with excellent paintwork after 40 plus years.
New thermostat and housing/ gasket, new radiator hoses, new heater control valve and hoses to heater box/ matrix. Re-furbished heater box and control cables. Exhaust is in very good condition.
Car is fitted with overdrive (not road tested but there is power to the solenoid).
Interior:
Mota-Lita wooden steering wheel.
Front seats were stripped and refurbished – new seat webbing, backs and foams – original seat covers carefully handwashed and replaced – the colour of these is in great condition.
Rear seat base and back have seen new foams and have been carefully cleaned– also unfaded.
New passenger and driver’s side door cards.
Drivers side quarter light window has had a new seal as the old had perished.
New c-pillar internal trim fitted.
New clock and light bulbs to the centre console.
Centre console coin tray added – though I have and will supply the original ash tray. New gear lever gaiter and surround.
Brand new MG fitted rubber floor mats.
Loads of small original improvements - too many to list. Can provide additional specific photos if desired. An eye turning classic - fun to drive. A rare original car - pretty much as it would have left the factory.
