Saab 900 Turbo Wimbledon Sprint 2. 0 16v 1985
Believed to be 1 of 6 built by Saab Wimbledon for special customers and 1 of 1 in this colour combination.
Totally original as supplied by Saab Wimbledon (Saab UK). The Saab 900 Turbo Wimbledon Sprint has a tuned 2 litre 16 valve engine with intercooler, 5 speed manual gearbox, lowered suspension with Bilstein shocks, colour coded Compomotive 16 inch wheels and a unique 900 Sprint Wimbledon body kit.
The 1 of 1 colour is Saab 117H Blue over Midnight Blue 590, with C24 Leather seats and matching door cards.
Other noteworthy features are the top condition three spoke leather Saab steering wheel, Panasonic in car telephone, original Blaupunkt Toronto stereo, and three Saab dash guages.
The Sprint drives well consummate with the genuine low mileage of 114, 528. It has a current MOT, although the seatbelts indicate it was built in 1984 so is already DVLA Tax and MOT Exempt. I bought this car 30 years ago in 1995, my friend owned it prior. It’s been used sparingly in recent years but dry stored. It's a survivor car and one that would make a reliable daily, the build quality is impressive, perhaps peak Saab and certainly a match for a 1980's Mercedes. It was a powerful car for its day, and a versatile hatch, differing from everything else on the road. The last expenditure was a new turbo and brakes all round. Totally original and mechanically strong.
