Ex MOD FFR (fixed for radio) rag top two front seats plus two rear bench seats.
Fitted with V* 3. 9 engine from a Range Rover, engine stripped and camshaft and piston rings replaced before fitting, oil pressure good and no leaks.
New injectors fitted with new filters and seals.
Mega Squirt fuel injection with full ignition control using solid state logic ignition coils.
Chris Tullet one off exhaust from manifold fitted.
Re made twin SS fuel tanks with aircraft filler caps, fitted under the front seats.
Freewheeling front hubs.
Fairy overdrive fitted.
External K&N air filer fitted to N/ S front wing.
3. 9 Range Rover differentials fitted.
Rear tub seat platforms replated with aluminium plates and then zinc powder coated before painting green, inside treated to spray sealer coating very hard wearing.
One ton front shackles fitted with KPI corrector plates.
Painted in a Land Rover green wtih powder coated galvanised parts.
100amp A127i alternator fitted.
Front wings fitted with aluminium checker plates.
Rear quarter checker plates fitted.
Chassis has been professionally replated and wax oiled internally.
Standard front shocks with uprated rear shocks.
Standard wheels powder coated with quiet on/ off road tyres. Found in a field by the Thames, had been used for several years launching and removing boats from the river at the Trout Inn, Lechlade. After purchase, completely stripped and rebuilt from the ground up after repairing chassis and overhauling axels and changing differentials. Installed engine and rebuilt body with slight panel change on passenger footwell to accommodate the V8 exhausts on the near side bank. New wiring harness installed and mega squirt system connected.
The vehicle has been used to access the local wood to collect firewood and general run about, it has been very reliable but it is still a Land Rover and can be a handful with the extra power but the sound is amazing.
