For Sale is my 1973 Land Rover Series 3 2. 25 Diesel
Ongoing project that requires finishing off. Unfortunately selling as i no longer have time to finish it.
In my ownership it has had an almost complete ground up rebuild. It runs and drives, rot free and the electrics(except the wipers) have been re-wired and work. It really won't take much to get this Land Rover on the road.
The work carried out includes but not limited to:
Engine has had all new pistons, crankshaft bearings and cylinder head valves and seals.
Gearbox has had all the seals replaced along with the 3rd/ 4th synchromesh springs.
Axles have been overhauled. This includes new swivel hubs, bearings and seals. Both differentials have also been rebuilt.
Chassis has been repaired with a new rear crossmember, rest is in great condition with no big patches.
Bulkhead has been repaired to a good standard with new door pillars and footwells.
Rear body tub has new galvanized supports and is in good order.
Rest of the bodywork is very straight.
Other work carried out:
New Radiator
New Clutch and slave cylinder
New Brake Master Cylinder and new shoes.
New Security tyres on the front, rears have good tread.
New Steering Relay and joints
New lights
New alternator
New starter motor solenoid
New 12 volt glow plug conversion
Mileage is showing 29650 but is not confirmed.
V5c is present along with invoices for the parts purchased during the project.
