For sale is my 1991 Mk2 GTi 8 valve, with 160k on the clock and MOT until June. This is a highly original, sought after 3 door car, in black. I’ve owned it for 4 years, and have loved every moment, but it’s time to let someone else cherish it.
The car is very high spec, with refurbished BBS RA wheels, Hella half smoked rear lights, as well as side indicators and bumper indicators to complete the look, and the desirable “ultraviolet” interior in red. Inside there's a Kamei golf ball gear knob, a leather gaiter, fischer cassette holder and a new headlining.
The car was bought back onto the road by the previous owner, having a full engine rebuild and reconditioning of the running gear including steering rack, coolant system and brakes. It has only been maintained in my ownership, most recently having a new clutch and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3’s.
There’s been some improvements, including:
Eibach ARB’s (Front and Rear)
Miltek 4 branch manifold
Jetex stainless exhaust system
JS performance silicone hoses
Braided brake lines
Overall the car is very clean and honest, there are some chips/ scratches in the paint- it is a 30 year old car at the end of the day! It cleans up and presents very well, as can be seen in the photos. The interior is in excellent condition, with an uncut parcel shelf, good headlining and no bolster rips or dashboard cracks. The glass and headlights all have the number plate etched into them. Underneath the car is very clean, with no nasty rust spots in the usual places. The car is also on a set of original dealer plates with the correct 90s font.
The exhaust does bang on the rear ARB over some bumps, but this is an easy fix and has never really bothered me.
