For sale is my Mazda 626 in silver with a grey cloth interior & wood trim. The car has had two owners in total, the second retired owner bought the car in 2003 as an approved used car and it is an extremely original car that even retains it's dealer plates.
The car has a 2. 0L four cylinder engine and four speed automatic gearbox and although it is 24 years old is still Ulez compliant as it is the first of the Euro 4 petrol engines!
The bodywork is in average condition with some age related marks. There is lacquer peel on the drivers rear quarter, some corrosion on the nearside wheel arch & some minor bumper scuffs. The car is still more than presentable especially considering it is now 24 years old!
The grey cloth interior is in excellent condition with no rips or wear whatsoever. The seats are free from any wear and the headlining is not sagging. Everything works as it should including the windows, mirrors & sunroof which tilts and slides.
The engine is smooth and very refined, on idle it is extremely quiet and it does not leak or use any water or oil whatsoever. The gearbox is smooth and changes up and down perfectly.
The car has 15" steel wheels and it's original hub caps fitted. All four tyres also have plenty of tread.
I have the owners manual, book pack, two keys and a large folder with lots of invoices for servicing.
The car has always been maintained & serviced without expense, mainly by a Mazda main dealer with all invoices in the folder.
The car drives perfectly without fault, is very comfortable and also very practical having a hatch. I often drive the car 150 miles or so a day without issue, I have a newer Mercedes estate but trust this car more. I would not hesitate to drive the car to Europe in the morning.
In summary a very original 626 which has been maintained properly, is automatic, Ulez compliant, reliable & practical. If you are looking for an automatic daily driver then it would be difficult to find a better car. The 626 is also a rare car which you no longer see on the road!
