Description
For sale is my lovely 1967 Daimler 2. 5 V8 in opalescent silver blue. In around 2014 it underwent a full restoration where the bodyshell was acid etch dipped and repainted and the underside sealed. The interior was also refurbished with the seats recovered and the dash professionally restored.
The car also has had power assisted steering fitted.
Since I have owned it I have done basic maintenance, oil changes, balancing the carbs, rebuilding the brake servo and general lubrication.
The car runs well with no problems and is garaged with the battery on trickle charge.
In terms of issues there is a small area of bubbling on both rear doors where there must be a rust trap, and the horn works intermittently due to the slip ring at the bottom of the steering column not making good contact. Due to health problems I haven’t been able to get under there to sort it out.
I’ve loved owning the car but I’m not using it enough and it needs to go to someone who can use it and enjoy it. The car is in overall nice condition and I love the Turner V8 engine. I bought this one as it has a relatively rare manual gearbox with overdrive. It is said that the manual gearbox gets the best out of this V8.
