Description
Selling this highly original Mercedes 280SE W111 with a very likely original 104 000kms. The car was purchased new in Germany by a Frenchman selling cattle and living there at the time. It was brought back and bought in 2002 by the current owner, the 1st owner's chiropractor.
He's only driven it 1000km in 22 years but it was regularly started and taken to its MOT.
The car is completely original, down to the Kardex showing that it's a matching numbers car, we even found the first owner driver's license, he sold it because he couldn't drive it anymore.
You will not find rot on this car, it's lived in Southern France most of its life and is very solid.
The interior is lovely and shows just the right amount of patina, not too-far gone that you'll have to reupholster it.
The wood trim is in good condition as well as so is the roof lining.
The fuel tank was recently changed out for a brand new one, the fuel pump was replaced at the same time. Engine compressions were taken by the mechanic who's looked after this car all its life (didn't bother picturing the result unfortunately) and were very satisfactory. The car was subjected to its French Contrôle Technique / MOT / TUV / APK last summer and passed easily, it could be driven back to the buyer's although we'd suggest a good transmission flush before that.
The paint shows defects, some chipping and it's been taken to the rollers so is brushed throughout. A good professional detailing should peel back just enough paint to make her look wonderful again.
This is a truly original car, unrestored and begging to be driven again. Fully original and unmolested
