Here for sale is my 1983 Jaguar XJS convertible. It is an ongoing project but a cheap way into Jaguar XJS convertibles.
The car in general is very solid and paintwork is ok. The floors are all good as are all the main areas including scuttle, arches, wings etc.
She has some rust on the sills, and the bottom of the doors are holed.
I have changed the fuel tank to a facelift Xjs tank with inner fuel pump and all works well. However there is fuel starvation from rear to front fuel pipe. So will need to be taken off and cleaned or replaced. She will fire up on easy start so definitely a fuel blockage.
I assume that she has been built pre Xjs convertible and it’s been done well.
The hood is decent but has some thread coming away from the rear so will need some work. She comes with an hood cover. Interior is ok. Door cards are aged so will need replaced.
She is now tax exempt soon can be applied for.
She has facelift alloys but tyres hold air but no good. The brakes are free also so can be pushed for transportation.
This is a good fairly solid car with a bit of work can easily be put back on the road and enjoyed once more.
The private plate comes with the car and V5 is in my name.
Too many projects and not enough time is why she is being sold.
