This Jaguar has tge later 2. 4 giving about 135 bhp, mated to the later all synchro box with overdrive.
It’s in good usable condition- it starts well, drives smoothly and handles nicely. It has uprated front brakes ( 4 pot calipers) , plus discs at the rear. New Blockley tyres have recently been fitted, which improve grip and lightens the steering.
The price reflects the fact that the paintwork has flaws, and the interior woodwork needs tlc, mainly the dash. There is one small tear in a seat cover. It’s a very enjoyable car to drive, with enough power, handling and braking to match today’s traffic, whether motorway speeds or back roads.
One nice story attached to the car is that it was owned for a long time by the originator of the Heartbeat TV series, and the purchase was funded by the earnings from the series!
