Description
This car is one of only two supercharged GT's built by Gilbern. It was first supplied to Arthur Newman of Beaconsfield on 2nd August 1961. The car has a very complete history file including a photo of the car being tested by Bernard Friese who was one of Gilberns founders.
It left the factory as a 948 supercharged car, but was upgraded by the factory to a 1275 supercharged car. The car had a sub standard paint job in 2007 which is why the paint is falling off now, all of the fibreglass is in very good condition for its age.
The car was put in store a few years ago, so during my ownership it has ben re-commissioned with many new parts being fitted, I have also sourced the correct door glass and window winders that will go with the car. It is on the button and the supercharged engine runs well. How rare is a genuine British built supercharged car!
