Description
40 series Land Cruiser. It's a 1979 model, HJ45 with a straight 6 diesel engine (3. 6 litre).
I acquired the vehicle two years ago at the hope of a full restore, but I work in London so have been able to do minimal work as it is located in Johannesburg South Africa.
This is a rust free example, and runs well. Under my ownership, I have performed a full service, electronic rewire, services the brakes, and a few ods and ends. There is a few things to do, but serves as a lovely useable classic. Worthy of a full restore but perfectly driveable as is.
Some notable issues I have not managed to curb yet is an oil leak from the gearbox, a brake reservoir leak.
The paint work is okay, it is showing its age and had been repainted a number of years back prior to my ownership. Not the cleanest paintwork but all-round okay.
I am based in London, and have imported a few classics over to the UK for international buyers of you pay and arrange for shipping.
Taxes are neglible on importing a classic to the UK.
If you have any questions, contact me and id be happy to chat. Very little is known by myself regarding the history of the vehicle. It was owned by a farmer for a number of years before it landed in my possession where it was largely left untouched.
The speedometer does not work, so mileage is unlikely true.
