Finished in Pangea Green, this Defender 90 TD5 has been fully restored to a high standard and presents superbly throughout.
The restoration work to this car was carried out in 2020/ 21, when it was stripped back to basics and completely re-worked. Many new panels were fitted and the car was re-painted in Pangea Green to match the latest model Defender. In addition to this, the side panels have been upgraded to black glass allowing loads of extra light in to the cabin. A heavy duty front bumper was also fitted alongside a winch, bigger wheels and Yokohama Geolander A/ T tyres. The roof features a painted Union Flag which is lacquered over and can’t be felt and demonstrated the length that were gone to with this project!Inside, the car features the quite rare optional extra of factory fitted air conditioning. It has also been re-trimmed in extremely high quality leather and is so much more comfortable to drive than the standard seats. It has a compass and angle land meter fitted as well as a JVC ratio with bluetooth function. The central cubby has also been carpeted to a high standard, which is very plush for a Defender! In the rear, the folding seats are trimmed in the same leather as the front seats and there is genuine Land Rover rubber load liner. The headliner has been re-trimmed in black and the pop-up sunroof does a good job of keeping water out and allowing light in to the cab.
On the road, the car drives extremely well, the TD5 engine pulls extremely strongly, the gearbox shifts well and the ride and handling is as good as can be expected for a classic Defender! The lights have all been replaced with LEDs which are much safer than the original candles and a light bar is fitted for night off roading!
This really is the perfect car for shooting trips or towing a horse box. It has been great fun but is offered for sale due to lack of recent use.
