Chassis number GDK37, engine number G1124. Finished in grey with maroon interior and matching coach lines. Rebodied by Leyshon James in the 1970's as a tourer. Large French rear luggage trunk that may well be older than the car. Engine currently out of the car and dismantled. Replacement block sourced and refurbished including new liners fitted back to standard. New set of rings included. Will require white metal work to main bearings, a well known and reputable vintage engineering company near Yeovil are familiar with the engine and happy to do this work. Originally bodied by Rippon Brothers, the car was sold to its first owner Mrs Cordeux of Bunny Hall, Nottingham on the 24th October 1924. After passing through several subsequent owners over the years it was then sold to Lady Colwyn in October 1976 by this time wearing it's current tourer bodywork. During this ownership the car appeared in a couple of tv productions, the ITV mini series 'Winston Churchill - The Wilderness Years' and the 1985/ 6 LWT drama series 'Mapp and Lucia' serving a Lucia's car in all episodes.
