Description
Offered for sale through no fault of its own is my 1975 Triumph Toledo. I bought this at the start of the year, but have recently acquired an American car, after wanting one for sometime, so unfortunately don't have the space to keep the Triumph.
It looks to have been subject to an older restoration or at least a respray. The paint certainly looks newer. It runs and drives great and is a hoot to drive. It appears solid. The interior is rather clean and it presents well. It benefits from being registered historic so tax and MOT exempt.
The paint job looks okay, apart from some overspray here and there. There are certainly makes around the body, making me think it's an older restoration, please see photos and I'm happy to provide more to any interested party. It passes the 10ft test with ease, but does have blemishes up close.
There's some play in the steering and the column does move a bit too (previous owner advised it needs a bush. The headlight surround is cracked but a spare is included.
The temperature gauge doesn't work. The boot doesn't lock although a spare barrel and key is included. The passenger front door doesn't lock on the key but works fine on the plunger. The drivers door lock can be stiff but does work. The drivers mirror is useless and needs relocating (but I have bought spares to mount on the wing).
Included are some spare parts, a BL smaller steering wheel (i didn't like it so changed back to original), some lead additive and a Haynes manual.
It's a lovely little car and I'd keep it if it wasn't for my recent purchase.
Open to reasonable offers but no px or swaps (sorry, no room for anything else!). Happy to provide more information, photos, videos etc as required. Car will remain taxed and insured for test drives.
