Original 1994 Ford Escort Saloon 1. 8 Litre petrol engine. Radiant Red with a dark cloth interior and with a sun roof. 12 months MOT. MOT expires January 2026. Put in a dry garage in storage on and off from 1996 to 2012 but regularly serviced started and driven during that time. Car runs and drives perfectly and is mechanically reliable and very well taken care of and great fun to drive. New clutch in 2021. It has four after market alloy wheels 16 inch. Pirelli tyres in good condition with 6 mm tread on the back four millimeters of tread on the front, all purchased from new, wheel balanced and aligned by a tyre garage.
My wife purchased the car new in 1994 and we have sold the car to various friends and members of the family then purchased it back. We have owned it again since 2014. The car has had a lot of money spent on it and I have boxes of receipts. The cylinder head gasket has been replaced, the cylinder head has been overhauled, the rocker cover gasket has been replaced, there is a replacement radiator, timing belt, and water pump all completed in 2022 professional engineering firm. The timing, oil change, oil filter change, spark plug change have been done again since then. The petrol tank has been refurbished in 2021. New battery 2023. New disks and calipers on the front brakes in 2023. New drum brakes, rear brake shoes, rear wheel brake cylinders, and breaks bled on the back wheels 2024. New thermostat, belts, timing has been re adjusted more recently in 2024 with new Oxygen sensor. New suspension parts including new near side front control arm, bush and anti roll bar. A large amount of professional welding has been done underneath the car on the sills. All wheel bearings replaced. It has had a new front wing and new passenger side door, new parts used fitted by professionals. No rust but a few dents and dings one in passenger side rear door, several on the roof but otherwise body work is very good.
