Description
Jaguar Type-E 3. 8 Cabriolet
First series with triple carburetters, glass-covered headlights, bucket seats and aluminum console.
It was delivered on November 13, 1962 in a rare and chic shade: Black interior Red.
The car is all original: original engine frames with their chassis number stamped at the factory, original cylinder head and engine block numbers, original gearbox number and body is the factory one (body number still present in the trunk, and original paint visible on engine frames and in the trunk).
The car has remained outside for decades, which has created water retention and ends with a very strongly corroded structure that will require the replacement of floors, sills and trunk floor.
The upper body parts are correct.
No traces of accidents, and the mechanics have obviously never been dismantled.
Us Title & customs duties paid in France.
Can be French registered if easier.
The softop frame and headlight glass, not visible in the photos, are available with the car.
Solutions for new boxes with or without exchanging the old ones are possible.
