Hi and welcome to the sale of the Mercedes Benz 560 SEL..
On sale on behalf of my father who has owned the car since 2015.
The car is the sought after 560 SEL version Long Wheelbase, finished in Blue with a lovely leather Tan interior (rare combination).
The car is 122, 356 genuine miles and has some service history and one key.
MOT expires in August 2025.
Has not been driven much due to may father working abroad mostly and would love to see it go to a good home and preferably an enthusiast.
The car has all the luxury from the 1980s, heated and massaging recline rear bench, from electric orthopaedic seats, heated, Cruise Control works, A/ C does not work, all electric windows and sunroof.
Lots of tread on the tires, Self Levelling Suspension Sphere was replaced in 2020, so rides and handles excellent.
Powerful 5. 6 V8 engine which produced 300bhp back in the day, still ample power and kick down. Completely stock car with no modifications.
Bad points:
Unfortunately, firstly there are some dents around the body work some of which I have highlighted in the photos and it can be repaired.
Secondly, the car does start but intermittently and it was diagnosed as a faulty Neutral Safety Switch- the car does start and run and drive when the gear selector is moved between the P and N positions- you have to turn the key as you move the gear stick.
There is a new battery also available. Car was driven regularly.
It is for sale due to lack of use and it is sad as this is a beautiful car and is becoming a rare sight now.
Someone who can bring this up to its glory will have lots of great years ahead.
